In October 2021, Samkrafter held a training on trauma, children in out of home care and contact between children in foster care and their parents, in collaboration with Arianne Struik. The training was very appreciated and therefore another training took place in October 2022 and another one in 2023.

In the fall of 2024 we will again arrange a training together with Arianne, with the first two days 28 and 29 October. Email us at info[at]samkrafter.se for more information about the training or to register for participation.

The training with Arianne is for those of you who work with children in out of home care and wish to get insights in the latest research, and gain practical tools in your work. Among other things, you will gain knowledge about why contact between children and their primary care givers is important and how we can achieve a positive collaboration between parents, foster carers and social services.

Some questions you will get answers to during the training:

• How does a lack of contact with their parents affect a child’s development?
• How can we understand children’s reactions before and after contact with their parents?
• How do we help traumatized children to heal?
• How do we get a positive and constructive collaboration between parents, foster carers and social services when a child is placed in out of home care?
